Apr April 2019 Chapter meeting

The IISF April chapter meeting will take place on April 11th at 4:00pm in Buswells.

There will be presentations from associate members, followed by a Q&A session and informal networking.

Managing highly sensitive data across multiple Public & Private Cloud Services is a delicate balancing act.

In this presentation, Rob Kenny(CISSP) from the Oracle Solution Architecture team will discuss some common cloud security challenges and tips as he helps customer move their core business services to the Cloud.

Rob is a former Chief Security Officer(CSO) with extensive experience in cloud security strategy, architecture and operations

Sudeep Venkatesh – Chief Product Officer, Egress

Preventing the Insider Threat: protecting your organisation, people and data.

This presentation will:

• Look at how organisations can use AI and Machine learning to protect their data against Insider threats

• Cover types of insider threats looking at data breaches and distinguishing between Malicious versus accidental breaches

• Highlight how adopting a risk-based approach to secure email and data sharing is key for data protection.

• Show how using technology businesses can protect employees and company data by providing users a platform to send email and share data securely.

• Draw on how companies have leveraged Egress platform for secure email and data sharing.

Sudeep Venkatesh is a noted expert on data protection, bringing two decades of industry and technology experience in this area. His expertise spans the protection of data in both structured and unstructured data ecosystems, with an emphasis on solving real-world business problems through encryption, authentication and key management. He has an in-depth understanding of regulatory compliance standards, including the EU GDPR, PCI and NYDFS, etc. Sudeep has worked on numerous data security projects with Fortune 500 firms in the US, the UK and globally.
