Check Point Cybersecurity Leaders Summit
The recent Check Point Cybersecurity Leaders Summit, held on October 17, 2024, at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin, was a great success. The event brought together senior Cybersecurity, IT and business leaders from across Ireland to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.
Key Highlights:
- Diverse Participation: The summit saw participation from a wide range of sectors, including public and private organizations. This diversity facilitated rich discussions and networking opportunities.
- Expert Speakers: The event featured thought leadership from prominent figures such as Deryck Mitchelson from Check Point, David Keddy from Microsoft Ireland, and Neil Redmond from PwC Ireland.
- Insightful Sessions: Topics covered included the state of cybersecurity in Ireland, navigating cybersecurity regulations, and the role of diversity in AI. These sessions provided valuable insights and practical strategies for attendees.
- Interactive Panels: The Cyber Leader Panel, hosted by Deryck Mitchelson, and featuring our own David Cahill allowed for an engaging exchange of ideas and insights from among local industry leaders.
- Special Guest Speaker: Jenny Radcliffe, known as "The People Hacker," delivered a captivating talk on social engineering and human factors in cybersecurity.
